APRIL
2007 by Bob Mulligan
Our
solar system revolves around the center of our galaxy,
just as our Earth revolves around our Sun. The center
of our galaxy is at 27 degrees of Sagittarius. Whereas
our Earth revolves around our Sun in 365+ days, our
solar system revolves around the center of our galaxy
in approximately 250,000 years. It is a big cycle.
Pluto (Lord of transformation) turned retrograde on
the galactic center on the 31st of March. Retrograde
times focus the energy of the planet more inwardly.
Because the Sun and Mercury are making a trine (expansion
aspect) to Pluto during this month, we will all be
given the opportunity to integrate some of the gigantic
cosmic changes going on in our world and in our psyche.
Here is some information to consider http://glumbert.com/media/shift.
April
is a time for grounding our fertile thoughts; also,
we are balancing our need for growth with our desire
for security. From January to July, Saturn (Lord of
Time) and Jupiter (King of the Gods) remain in a continuous
harmonizing trine (aspect for expansion). This relationship
is punctuated now as the Sun and Mercury form a grand
trine with these gods of social awareness. This formation
is taking place in fire (element of self); the spring
is a time of personal initiative and starting over.
This focus on our own interests is a necessary part
of the process for building a better world. There
is a way for creating a sense of personal comfort
and safety without jeopardizing social involvement.
Continual prioritizing is necessary to get the appropriate
synthesis and balance.
There
is a gathering intensity all month as if a huge storm
is rolling in. If you observe subtleties you will
note that we are all confronting new urges and desires.
These are symbolized by Uranus (God of Infinite Possibilities)
being Conjunct the North Node of the Moon (symbol
of our dharma) in the sign Pisces (symbol of compassion).
This is important because Neptune and Uranus are in
each other’s signs. Although this very rare phenomenon,
never having happened since these planets were discovered;
it is a lengthy condition lasting from 2003-2011;
however, it is only this month that this configuration
is being triggered in an abrupt, personal, and genuinely
brilliant way. Mars (God of War) unites with the configuration
now. The good news is that with conscious intent this
energy can easily be directed toward productive and
constructive uses. Changes can manifest abruptly and
dramatically at the end of the month.
New
insights into our selves and our relationships put
in motion last month take root and now manifest a
series of different ways of being with people. People
we deal with in our daily lives change, true; but
more important are the shifts in our own attitude.
This leads to clarity of our intentions and purpose
in relationships. Our motivation and needs express
themselves more directly.
Last
fall we started on some course of action based on
our beliefs about ourselves and about life circumstances.
Now is the time for clarity and simplification. Jupiter
(God of Expansion) turns retrograde in his own sign
of Sagittarius. This directs our attention inward
toward our own basic assumptions. Discipline and insights
this month allows us to fashion a different approach
to our life situation.
The
Full Moon on April 2nd at 1:16 PM EDT brings us to
an ending of our recent social cycle. We are preparing
for the New Year opening to take place at the time
of the New Moon. We will now dive deeper into our
own inner self until fall. We must renew our faith
in the life process in order to use this energy most
productively. We take some risks that are necessary
to grow. Mediate on your relationship to others, to
society, and the world.
The
New Moon is on April 17th is at 7:37AM EDT. We are
being given a chance to explore the deeper, hidden
and spiritual dimensions of life. There are many facets
of our own inner nature that need some inspection.
This first New Moon of spring has a pensive, even
tentative quality this year. Even though an Aries
New Moon is about initiating something new, this year
we are haunted by unfinished business from last year
that can’t just be jettisoned. We still need meaningful
closure. This is a good time to write down your intentions
for the month and then hold them in front of your
mind’s eye. Although there is a great need to pay
attention to our external world as we begin a new
cycle by symbolically “planting seedlings” every spring;
we find our most productive growth will be inward
this month. Our roots must go very deep in order to
expand our frontiers during the rest of the year.
We are finding, developing, and utilizing a new foundation
and new assumptions for life.
Mental
stimulation and brilliant ideas play a counterpoint
to our ultra-sensitivity and our awareness of the
needs of others from April 1st to the 8th. Our empathic
urges have a hard time finding common ground with
our opportunity seeking mind. Truly though, we all
must take care of our own personal lives if we are
going to be able to assist anyone else. We influence
our larger world for the good if we focus on our important
personal goals. We have some really important ingredients
of our everyday lives which need attention; avoid
falling into a comfortable denial of the truth in
your current circumstances.
From
the 9th to the 15th creative expanse and “living large”
are common themes. We think, feel, and act in big
terms now. Dreams and visions motivate us to act.
The inner prompting is too strong to resist, we must
build something of value now. Be careful what you
say as words have an unusual power and consequence
now. Be careful that you acknowledge and channel your
own frustration as the requirements of your everyday
life challenge your dreams.
We
find ourselves eliminating many things during the
week of the 16th to the 22nd. Focus on one thing which
is truly important. Something has been gestating for
a while; now is the time to make it a concrete reality.
There are some unique opportunities but it is not
possible to please, or even include, everyone. Go
forward fearlessly.
From
the 22nd to the 30th we are given a unique opportunity
to change. We may be profoundly challenged; when to
sit still, when to push, and when to change directions.
There are many conflicting signals and we need to
stay sensitive to the changes in the atmosphere even
when our common sense encourages us to hide out. “There
is a river of love that flows through all times.”
Correctly used this is the energy of immediate, deep,
and permanent change.
1st
– Sunday – Mercury Conjunct Uranus – The craziest
ideas emerge during the day and confusion can stop
us from making any forward progress. Seeing the future
is not the same as living in it. Write down your thoughts
today, they will be important to you later on.
2nd
– Monday –Venus Square Saturn, the Full Moon at 1:16
PM EDT – New solutions to relationship difficulties
are within reach. Be willing to stretch; believe in
yourself today. Partnership issues reach a crisis
point, but if you are able to put aside your personal
fears new understandings enlighten your circumstances.
Meditate at the time of the Full Moon.
3rd
– Tuesday – Mercury Quincunx Saturn, Venus Quincunx
Jupiter – Getting a correct picture of circumstances
is difficult today. If you find yourself indecisive,
relax, the world is not so simple now. You advance
by being patient and conservative in your approach.
Fear and unrealistic expectations can play havoc with
plans. Check your judgments with others and be willing
to wait.
4th
– Wednesday – Mercury Parallel Uranus, Venus Square
Neptune, Mars Sextile Pluto, Sun Contra-parallel Mercury
– Okay, take some risks today. Many things can be
accomplished but you need to be willing to try the
impossible and to stay with your basic intuitions.
If you lose perspective you are apt to exaggerate
the importance of minor detail and lose momentum.
Remember you true purpose and keep your eyes on the
goal.
5th
– Thursday – Mercury Semi-Sextile Neptune, Sun Contra-parallel
Uranus, Jupiter turns Retrograde – Long distant plans
are on our minds. For immediate problems there are
no quick solutions. Even though many pressing matters
carry an ingrained urgency, try to stay philosophical.
Don’t worry about what can’t be accomplished and just
concentrate your attention on the people and projects
where your energy will really make a difference.
6th
– Friday – Mars enters Pisces, Sun Semi-Sextile Uranus
– A strong feeling of being inspired or depressed
by world circumstances points to the fact that your
mental health depends on having a diet of good thoughts.
Many adjustments need to be made to accommodate changes
in circumstances, however, don’t lose your focus.
7th
– Saturday – Mercury Sextile Venus – It’s a world
too big to manage everything. Luck is with us today
and it is possible to make everything a little brighter.
Your desires to help others can easily be conveyed
in a good choice of words.
8th
– Sunday – Sun Trine Saturn – Steady disciplined progress
is made by finding the correct rhythm. Life makes
sense today if you let it. Careful planning and sticking
to a structured program are procedures that bring
reward.
9th
– Monday – Sun Trine Jupiter – Pushing through obstacles
is easy if you remember your roots and stay focused
on what you are good at. Sunlight can be particularly
healing both physically and spiritually during the
course of the day.
10th
– Tuesday – Mercury Square Pluto, Mercury enters Aries,
Venus Quincunx Pluto – Know your values and curb your
temper. Stay moving without pushing and you will travel
far. You can “short circuit” your own good ideas if
you become overly self critical. On the other hand,
do take note of the things that really aren’t working
before you proceed.
11th
– Wednesday – Sun Sextile Neptune, Venus enters Gemini
– Artistic insight and creativity take off. Conversation
can settle disputes. Compromise can be discovered
by finding new alternatives.
12th
– Thursday – Mercury Sesquiquadrate Saturn – Eliminating
some options frees up time to handle the really important
things today. As we change some of our basic assumptions,
we automatically focus on achievable goals. Others
in your life may be very stubborn today, don’t be
one of them. You may have to accomplish much on your
own. Discipline and movement keep the day from being
gloomy.
13th–
Friday – Even though there is energy present, it may
have a tendency to come out in convoluted emotional
forms like anger and frustration. Getting any traction
and forward motion will require patience.
14th – Saturday – Venus Contra-parallel Jupiter, Mercury
Semi-Sextile Mars, Mercury Semi-square Neptune – Too
much of a good thing can create problems. Meaningful
conversation helps clarify very emotional situations.
Managing our desires is difficult as our dreams seem
within reach. Do something; just don’t try to do everything.
15th
– Sunday – We reach critical mass; we see where we
are going, our direction and methods become clear
as our vision is unclouded. We discover moments of
clarity as we prioritize and act.
16th
– Monday – Sun Contra-parallel Mars – Relatively minor
corrections open a new path. Be willing to act, be
decisive and you quickly gain the freedom for which
you have been yearning.
17th
– Tuesday – The New Moon is at 7:37AM EDT – A breath
of fresh air comes to us as we go about normal activities.
We can get some keen insights into how we initiate
activities if we are observant today. This is a very
important day for setting your intentions.
18th
– Wednesday – Urgent tasks can put us in an emergency
mode. We strive to complete some tasks; but many projects
are in “mid stream” and completion is a ways away.
So much of what is happening right now comes from
inner pressure and does not have so much to do with
actual external circumstances. So relax and take things
in stride.
19th
– Thursday – Sun Trine Pluto, Saturn turns Direct
– Factors out of our reach suddenly emerge and give
us the extra insight to carry us over the next hill.
It is a day and time of positive release.
20th
– Friday – Sun enters Taurus, Mercury Semi-Sextile
Uranus – It is easy to feel grounded and connected
to our lives and to other people. Even though there
are so many new opportunities, take the time to review
recent past circumstances. You will discover some
things that you have missed.
21st
– Saturday – Mercury Trine Saturn, Mercury Contra-parallel
Uranus, Mercury Trine Jupiter – Much hangs in the
balance. It is possible to find a new way of achieving
wholeness. Quick conversations, quick decisions, and
quick actions bring rapid fire results. We can create
more today than we usually accomplish is a week. Prioritize
then act.
22nd
– Sunday – Sun Semi-square Uranus, Mercury Sextile
Neptune – How many times is it possible to change
directions? We alter our plans again today but it
feels right to do so. This is more than just fine
tuning. Use your imagination to see a better world.
23rd
– Monday – Venus Square Mars, Mercury Contra-parallel
Mars – Arguments are possible but not inevitable.
Sexual tension can be at an all time high and misunderstandings
can even emerge into combat. What is necessary is
good, safe, emotional release. Respond intelligently
to the people around you.
24th
- Tuesday – Sun Sesquiquadrate Jupiter – Take the
time to look clearly into pattern of events in your
recent life. Connect the dots; you will see how your
values manifest circumstances in your everyday life.
If you like what you see, bravo, if you don’t, well
then it is time to go a little deeper into your own
soul.
25th
– Wednesday – Stable, conservative steps help you
mend fences and build bridges. The establishing of
new boundaries as well as reinforcing existing guide
lines will move everything in life forward. Consistent
progress is achieved by obeying the rules.
26th
– Thursday – Mercury Trine Pluto, Venus Square Uranus
– At a galloping pace we move to complete a task we
have worked on for some time; an underlying nervousness
upsets the progress. Look for insights in the interruptions.
Unbelievable things can be accomplished quickly.
27th – Friday – Mercury Enters Taurus, Venus Sextile
Saturn, Mercury Semi-square Mars – Everything slows
down and we become much more methodical in our work.
Good insights emerge and much needed information arrives
in a timely manner.
28th
– Saturday – Mercury Semi-square Uranus, Venus Opposite
Jupiter, Mars Conjunct Uranus – Rapid expansion of
a dream or vision can lead us into taking on new attitudes
and engaging in new processes. Dream big dreams, but
be careful with your physical actions.
29th
– Sunday – Mercury Sesquiquadrate Jupiter, Sun Contra-parallel
Neptune, Mercury Semi-square Venus, Mars Quincunx
Saturn – Be willing to take chances with your relationships.
This is a fantastic time to get closure on any misunderstandings
that linger between you and others.
30th
– Monday – Mars Square Jupiter, Venus Trine Neptune
– Warm feelings and artistic insights encourage us
toward new and innovative types of creative actions.
Competitive feelings can help each of us strive to
accomplish our personal best. This is a day of spiritual
consolidation.
