Jupiter,
Mercury, and Mars are particularly significant now.
Jupiter (Lord of Wisdom) turns retrograde in the sign
Virgo, indicating that it is the time to look quite
closely at practical details. This will be a recurring
theme all month and encourages us to make progress
in the work place. Resist “taking care of business”
at your own peril. Mercury (Planet of Communication)
turns direct on the galactic center, then, crosses
back in to the earth sign Capricorn. We clarify our
visions of the future, gain new knowledge, and get
our feet planted on more solid ground. After the 6th
once again we sign contracts and make purchases with
better results. Mars (God of War) stays firmly rooted
in his own sign, Aries, all month. This shows that
energy is available now to complete unfinished projects.
It
is worth noting that Uranus (God of Innovation) reentered
Pisces on December 30th and will now anchor a whole
new stream of cultural changes over the next 7 years.
What this means for us right now is that we will recognize
some very subtle changes in our individual taste in
art, music, clothing, and habits. These changes will
become much more pronounced later in the year.
This
month's Full Moon is on the 7th at 10:40am. Work during
the first seven days of January to complete projects
already in motion; then take time off to meditate,
as the Sun and Moon oppose each other. Knowing when
to put aside your own concerns and think of the welfare
of the world is part of everyone's path to happiness.
By the time we reach the New Moon on the 21st the
mood in the country will be more serious. At 4:05
PM EST the Sun and Moon come together on the first
degree of Aquarius. It is usually best to wait until
after this moment to initiate a new program or new
procedures.
1st
- Thursday - Mercury Semi-square Venus, Mars Square
Saturn. Optimistic thoughts but caution is needed
to get results today.
2nd
- Friday - Sun Semi-sextile Neptune. A new vision
of the future is developing. Take time to dream and
don't get lost in the doing of mundane tasks.
3rd
- Saturday - Jupiter turns retrograde, Mercury Semi-square
Neptune. Be aware, sometimes big dreams are all talk
with no practical action being taken. Today reevaluate
procedures.
4th
- Sunday - Venus Parallel Neptune. Love and friendship
are the topics of the day. Seek harmony wherever possible.
5th
- Monday - Mars Sextile Neptune, Venus Quincunx Jupiter.
Finesse your energy and today can really pay off.
Be prepared for the unexpected. Firm action brings
results.
6th
- Tuesday - Sun Semi-square Uranus, Mercury turns
direct, Venus Sextiles Pluto, Sun Contra-parallels
Saturn. How big a gain can you make now? Is it possible
to limit your losses on some bad investments? Don't
be afraid to act but be prepared to re-think your
strategies.
7th
- Wednesday - Full Moon at 10:40am, EST at 16 Cancer
Capricorn, then Mars Parallels Jupiter. It is a day
of completion. We reach a new understanding today
and are prepared to operate from a new set of premises.
8th
- Thursday - We work to get a new, more positive expression
today.
9th
- Friday - Sun Trine Jupiter, Mercury Semi-square
Neptune, Venus Sesquiquadrate Saturn. Practical concerns
are favored today. If you can get direct exposure
to sunlight now, it is particularly beneficial.
10th
- Saturday - It is time to take stock of our current
situation. Hard work can yield results. Communication
is good today so make sure you clear your plans with
others.
11th
- Sunday - Venus Parallel Pluto, Mars Semi-square
Uranus, Sun Semi-sextile Pluto. There is plenty of
room to grow today. Be prepared to take in new information
and make sure you aren't one of the impatient people
making it difficult for everyone else.
12th
- Monday - Work moves smoothly today, however be prepared
to deal with a mountain of details.
13th
- Tuesday - Sun Parallels Mercury. Relationships and
higher visions of the truth color long term planning
right now.
14th
- Wednesday - Mercury enters Capricorn, and Venus
enters Pisces. Getting the head and the heart working
together is the project today. Try to examine closely
any project that doesn't have your full attention.
Maybe it is time for a change. Be willing to eliminate
anything that doesn't serve your long-range interests.
15th
- Thursday - Mercury Sextile Uranus, Venus Conjunct
Uranus, Mercury Sextile Venus. Face the facts. See
what can be done, then operate quickly. There are
some unique opportunities now.
16th-
Friday - Mars Quincunxes Jupiter, Venus Parallels
Uranus. Excitement fills the air and a new world of
options and connections opens the way in front of
us.
17th
- Saturday -It's a great day for exercising and being
outdoors. Just try to enjoy the day and let spontaneous
urges show you the way to enjoyment.
18th
- Sunday - Venus Semi-squares Mars. Our feelings can
present us with conflicts. Desires for short-term
gratification don't harmonize easily with long-term
fulfillment.
19th
- Monday - It is time for a reality check. Can our
tactics of the moment carry us where we want to go?
Be willing to commit to a course of action and stay
focused until you see results.
20th
- Tuesday - Mars Trines Pluto, the Sun enters Aquarius.
Boundless energy is available. Tap into it and move
with freedom today.
21st
- Wednesday - Venus Trines Saturn, Sun Semi-sextile
Uranus, the New Moon, then, we have Mercury opposite
Saturn. Starting over is a good thing now. Family
responsibilities seem to lack joy. Duty and discipline
are favored. Pause for a moment at 4:05pm EST pray
for world peace. It's a time of new beginnings.
22nd
- Thursday - Venus Contra-parallel Mars, Mercury Contra-parallel
Saturn. Staying on task and completing your various
actions that comply with your values is difficult
today. It's as if lots of energy is available for
any short project.
23rd
- Friday - Sun Sesquiquadrate Jupiter. It's an emotional
day. Confidence is strong.
24th
- Saturday - Venus Semi-sextile Neptune. It's an opportunity
to expand your artistic talent.
25th
- Sunday - Mercury Semi-sextile Neptune. We are bridging
the gap between responsibilities and visions today.
We wish to live in a higher perception of the world.
More is possible than we know at the moment. The plan
is just now revealing itself.
26th
- Monday -The Sun Semi-squares Pluto. We can take
a leap forward today. Plans put in motion last fall
are taking root in practical applications. A powerful
drive for independence and freedom gets people stirred
up and into action.
