America and world culture are at the crossroads. July marks this transition time as Saturn (Lord of Karma) crosses out of Cancer and into Leo. This will be Saturn’s new home from July 16th, 2005 until September 2nd, 2007.

Working together is a recurring theme during July this year. For the first half of the month, we are fiddling with the pieces of compromise on many subjects. After the 15th, everyone’s position and opinion seems to harden, making old strategies near impossible. But this can be good as the very intensity of this polarization generates new ideas, which in turn will bring changes to global, social, and political structures. Mercury turns retrograde, allowing us to examine and correct past mistakes.

We experience definite consolidation of our purpose as well as defenses when the Sun conjuncts Saturn in Leo. We are at a dividing point as our philosophical differences become more pronounced. Some people want a world ruled by Saturn (fear and justice), some people want a world ruled by Venus (Love and understanding). People have strong feelings; we all tend to react automatically to unfolding events rather than respond to our present circumstances intelligently. Take time to meditate for a few minutes at the time of the New and Full Moon. These are the best times to elevate the world’s psychic atmosphere.

Romance is one of those dark horse issues all month. It can pop up when you least expect it. Even if you have not been in a relationship for a long time, you may find yourself being pulled toward this type of connection. Other people will be on our minds periodically all month. Don’t be afraid to act on your feelings when they are illuminated by intelligent self-appraisal.

The New Moon is on the 6th at 8:02 AM EDT and the Full Moon is on the 21st at 7:00 AM EDT. The Sun goes into Leo on the 22nd then conjuncts Saturn the next day. Mercury turns retrograde as Venus enters Virgo, also on the 22nd. Life is changing as people’s style and attitude become more defensive and reactive.

From the 1st to the 6th we are gathering our energy and moving toward closure on a number of fronts. We are tiptoeing through a very dangerous week as people and policies change abruptly. Still, our personal lives can be very fulfilling if we stay close to home.

From the 7th to the 14th we are seeking clarification. We are caught between what we want and what we fear. Old structures are passing away and new insight is emerging. This is also a week of living out new dreams.

From the 15th to the 21st is a time of integrating new relationships with existing security networks. We are headed in a new direction. We are even more adamant to get our own way and to have greater expression. Still, we aren’t completely comfortable to go our own way. We want other people in our lives.

From the 22nd to the 31st we concentrate on building a bigger picture of our world and revising our ongoing projects. We can get stuck if our conflicting desires stop us from moving forward. The answer is to be patient and be spontaneous as opportunities can break us out of an old rut.

1st – Friday – Venus Parallel Saturn, Sun Square Jupiter – This is a day of living large. We are trying to express our emotions and we have difficulty getting them to the surface. Subtle changes in approach can have a lasting effect.

2nd - Saturday – Sun Trine Uranus – Follow your intuitions today. Emotional nervousness creates spice in our interactions. We are prompted to change.

3rd – Sunday –Mercury Sesquiquadrate Pluto – Our urge to communicate can have us calling people who aren’t on our usual list. We overdo it a bit, trying to convince others of our point of view.

4th – Monday – Venus Sesquiquadrate Pluto – We have a way with people now. Be willing to compromise as time is important and harmony will come as the day unfolds.

5th – Tuesday – Talk about your feelings. Much unprocessed data can be building up inside of you. Be peaceful and let others know what is on your mind.

6th – Wednesday – Mercury Sextile Jupiter , then Quincunx Uranus, the New Moon is at 14 Cancer at 7:02AM, Venus Sextile Jupiter then Quincunx Uranus – We have our hands full switching from a month of figuring things out to being in our feelings. Take time to meditate at the time of the New Moon, not only does this help others, it is the best moment to set your intentions for the month.

7th – Thursday – Mars Sextile Neptune – We are driven to accomplish our dreams today. Will others come along with our desires? Building consensus is the magic trick of the day. We can all be happy together; we just have to be willing to work toward this goal.

8th – Friday – Neptune Quincunx Uranus, Sun Quincunx Neptune – We are so tightly networked into the larger picture that we may feel overwhelmed by circumstances beyond our control. This is definitely the time to “Go with the flow.” Just remember, your smiling face and positive thoughts help everyone else.

9th – Saturday – Mercury Conjunct Venus – This is a great day to express yourself with authority and color. Warm and lively interactions give this day a feeling that circumstances are building toward a happy conclusion.

10th - Sunday – Mercury Contra-parallel Neptune – This can be a confusing time. Others may seem angry or dissatisfied with either your attitude or behavior. Keep a close watch on your own energy when in conversation. It is possible to make some energetic change that heals an important relationship.

11th – Monday – Venus opposite Neptune – Yearning for a higher love will not get you to the goal. Be willing to run in a new direction to achieve your heart’s desire. Harmony comes through compromises.

12th – Tuesday – Mercury Contra-parallel Pluto, Sun Square Mars – We can be obsessed today with making a difference. Emotional outbursts and defensiveness can stop us from being effective. Stay tolerant, even with yourself. Use the tremendous energy for a positive purpose.

13th – Wednesday – Mercury Opposite Neptune – Brilliant insight can create a new vision of the truth today. Be aware that others may not be as practical as you would like them to be. Your expectations of each situation may need to be re-evaluated in a few days. We may be dreaming a beautiful dream that we have no ability to manifest. Still, the truth as you see it, is worth holding on to.

14th – Thursday – Sun Quincunx Pluto – We see something larger than our immediate surroundings. Still, be willing to wait and work. Seeing the top of the mountain does not get you there.

15th– Friday – Mars Trine Pluto, Venus Contra-parallel Neptune – You are energized and romantic today. There is tremendous desire to create a new relationship or to reenergize an existing one.

16th – Saturday – Saturn enters Leo, Venus Trine Pluto – This is the change we have been waiting for. We become more passionate about our own life and circumstances.

17th – Sunday – Venus Trine Mars, Sun Sesquiquadrate Uranus, Venus Contra-parallel Pluto – Okay, it’s time for romance. Emotions fire quickly and we have a great time sorting out our feelings which tend to fluctuate. You can translate this enthusiasm into your work but it’s hard to keep other people out of your thoughts.

18th – Monday –We carry the torch of righteousness now. Powerful feelings move us all day. Being outdoors and on the move can be great fun.

19th – Tuesday – Consequential issues dominate today. We work hard in order to feel productive. Be dutiful but try to take yourself less seriously.

20th – Wednesday – Mars Semi-square Uranus, Venus Semi-square Jupiter – Men and women seem to want to get together now. Luck is in the air and lots of people run through our lives. Be selective with time and attention.

21st – Thursday – Full Moon at 6:00 am EDT, Sun Parallel Saturn – A cautious optimism dominates the day. We are entering a new reality.

22nd – Friday – Sun enters Leo, Venus enters Virgo, Mercury turns retrograde – Outgoing expression is tempered with a feeling of caution. Now is the time to be careful. Edit your work and review what you have done recently.

23rd – Saturday – Sun Conjunct Saturn, Venus Semi-sextile Saturn – We are learning a new set of boundaries. Today requires hard work to move forward. Progress is made, just slowly.

24th – Sunday – Sun Semi-sextile Venus – We have a propensity to do things for others now. Joy comes through service. Emotions run high.

25th – Monday – Everything happens fast. We accomplish much by acting affirmingly. We float over a myriad of details by moving swiftly.

26th - Tuesday – Mars Contra-parallel Uranus – We try to switch directions today but a number of mitigating factors brings us back to focusing on the path we have already been on.

27th – Wednesday – Mercury Parallel Venus – Frequent attempts to create harmony are rewarded today. We have the opportunity to complete some long standing projects as new options emerge and energy seems to be endless.

28th – Thursday – Mars enters Taurus – Application of energy to practical goals brings results. Still, we have some conflict over our priorities. Do we want security or pleasure? Everyone we talk to seems to have a different opinion about our upcoming choices. We may wait a few days for clarification.

29th – Friday – Sun Sesquiquadrate Pluto – Fighting for an ideal is one thing; demanding that others salute your flag is quite another. Know what is right for you and leave it at that.

30th – Saturday –Venus Parallel Mars – It’s a day of attraction. Let your feelings be known. Conversation brings results.

31st – Sunday – Venus opposite Uranus, Mars Square Saturn – Love stirs us to try something new. Latent fears prohibit us from acting too carefree. Run toward your new interests but be certain that you really want what you are aiming at; you could be just bored with your current situation.
