JUNE
2002 by Bob Mulligan
Let's face it,
May was a difficult month. June also has its difficulties. However,
we are being given some fantastic opportunities to grow. We have
an Eclipse at both the New and the Full Moon. New and Full Moons
are always energy focus points in a month. Eclipses, however, are
active points of emphasis lasting several years. The symbolic drama
acted out this month will stay vibrant for a long time.
As we enter
June, Mercury which turned retrograde on May 15th, will continue
in it’s backward direction for another week. Any planet retrograde
symbolizes recapitulation, consolidation, and review. Direct motion
shows taking new steps, moving forward. However, this is a very
different retrograde Mercury. During this retrograde Mercury we
are forced by other circumstances to keep moving forward on many
projects. After it turns direct we are forced to review our past
and to only move forward with great caution.
It's a crazy
time with Mercury (planet of travel and communication) in its own
sign Gemini (symbol of duplicity). Many factors together here indicate
that we finish with some long standing problems. However, we must
be open to new procedures.
June begins
with idealism and harmony on Saturday the 1st as The Sun (object
of our central focus) trines Neptune (planet of culture). Sunday
the 2nd gives a wonderful weekend of reflection and positive feelings
as many planets congregate in Gemini and Cancer, (The signs of communication
and home). Uranus turns retrograde. You have been asking for innovation.
Now is the time. Get rid of what you don’t need. You can reorganize
from the top down today. Innovation and reorganization has never
been faster or easier.
Dealing with
the family and close blood relationships are favored on the 3rd
as Venus (love) conjuncts Jupiter (abundance) in the sign of the
Family, Cancer.
It's easy to
overindulge your appetite on the 5th as both lights make aspects
to Jupiter (Planet of multiplication). Costly mistakes can be avoided
if you stay rational and avoid being in too big a hurry.
Between the
7th and the 10th we may experience past regrets as the Sun and Moon
connect the separating Saturn Pluto opposition. Feelings of guilt
and inadequacy can give way to positive insight and self reappraisal.
During this period of reflection going toward the New Moon, on the
8th, Mercury (planet of information) turns direct in Gemini (sign
of communications). This ends a three week period of digesting previous
experiences. We are prepared to face the difficulties of moving
forward. However, the first order of business may seem more like
completing things already in motion.
Energy changes
mark a new day as we reach the New Moon on the 10th at 7:48pm EDT.
We have a very important eclipse with Saturn (ruler of time) conjunct
The Sun, Moon, and North Node of the Moon. Spirits will tend to
gradually rise from this day forward.
In some manner
political concerns always seem to dominate the news, but on the
11th with Jupiter semi-sextile Saturn, we strive to acquire some
emotional meaning from our past experiences. It's as if our personal
relationships have just existed during the last few weeks. There
have been romantic aspects but on the 13th with Venus (female) quincunx
Uranus, and Mars (male) quincunx Neptune, we are truly lucky if
we are able to admit to our close ones that we are just confused.
Believe it or not, today is perfect for getting cozy with our loved
ones as Venus parallels Jupiter in Cancer (sign of nostalgia).
Friday the 14th
encourages openness to new ideas adventures as Venus enters Leo.
Its a great day for meeting new people. Our romantic impulses can
prompt us to spend more money than usual. Be careful. Rethink your
priorities and you have a better chance of being appropriate.
Patience with
others can help a great deal on the 15th as Venus completes an aspect
with Pluto. All the ingredients seem to be present for a wonderful
weekend. However, relaxing can be hard work. It is difficult to
get every person and circumstance together at the same time.
Sunday the 16th
is a really good day for rest as Venus parallels Saturn and The
Sun Sesquiquadrates Neptune. Take today off and rest, or alternately,
let your mind wander in idealistic channels. In any case, this isn’t
the best time for business as usual.
Energy builds
up on the 18th as Mars makes a hard aspect to Uranus and Mercury
Contra-parallels Neptune. We may be quite accident prone. We dream
of things that we can’t manifest. Part of the problem is we may
be having difficulty clarifying what we really want now.
Thursday the
20th is a day of action. The Sun trines Uranus and Mercury sextiles
Venus. Now is the time for action. Things that you have been trying
to figure out for a long time can come to manifestation.
On the 21st
The Sun enters Cancer. This is longest day of the year, the beginning
of summer. Collectively, our spirits continue to lift.
Bold steps bring
permanent long term changes on the 22nd as Uranus parallels Pluto.
Events materialize quite suddenly.
If we aren’t
careful much misdirected anger projects from us on the 23rd as the
Sun Parallels Mars. Also now, Venus opposes Neptune. Do yourself
a favor, avoid reaching conclusions in haste.
The 24th is
a busy day as Mercury trines Neptune, then parallels Venus. We have
the Full Moon eclipse at 5:43pm EDT. This revved up energy can give
us a wild enthusiasm to get things done. Unusual ideas circulate
and get implemented without the benefit of consensus.
Venus trines
Pluto, Jupiter parallels Saturn, and Mercury opposes Pluto on the
28th. This is a pleasant day with a feeling of starting over. Being
earnest while staying in a light hearted mood can pay big dividends
today.
On the 29th
Venus contra-parallels Neptune, Mars semi-sextiles Saturn. Feelings
are strong and positive. Still, its hard to find concrete steps
to further
your aims. Go slow. Be willing to deal with setbacks.
