Once again, spring returns. This is a special year; we are working to emphasize the positive as our world seems to be struggling to get its balance. Headline news stories can be numbingly difficult to absorb; so much general information is shockingly bad (Iraq, the tsunami, extremist violence.) Events have a way of looking un-fixable. We can be easily left with a feeling that there is nothing we can do. However, this is an illusion. We can help each other and we can help make the world a better place. It all starts with our own inner workings and the way we treat others, one on one. “This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.” A new attitude can bring a new pattern of relationships and it is what we need now.

In 1995, Pluto entered Sagittarius; this was the dawn of a new era. Pluto is all or nothing, the lord of the dead; Sagittarius is the sign of philosophy, religion, ethics, and higher values. Pluto will be here until 2008. Religious fanatics are certainly an archetypical manifestation of Pluto in Sagittarius. However, there is another aspect of this transit that is critical now. Each of us is being asked to re-examine basic beliefs about why we exist. A ruthless self-examination is going on (either consciously or unconsciously) for every citizen of the globe. This is giving birth to a world wide, yet silent, revolution.

Pluto and Mercury are turning retrograde in March, symbolically ushering in a period of searching for bottom line answers. It is possible to stop projecting our difficulties outward and start looking within. It is life’s deeper mysteries that need to be tackled now. This is all part of the cleansing process that will take us into a world of peace, harmony, and balance.

We start March with a sincere desire to improve our relationships. We find that creating new methods require us to clean up the residue from the past. This becomes the major focus between the 1st and the 9th.

From the 10th to the 17th we have lots of people moving through our lives. We are offered many opportunities in a short period of time to solve persistent problems in new ways. What is so cool about this is that we get to see the results of what we are doing quickly. This makes self-correction easier.

March 18th to the 25th we are putting the finishing touches on a long standing project. This is a milestone, we can really soar to new heights if we get a little encouragement now. Since you know how good it feels, try to be that positive force in other’s lives.

During the last week (the 25th to the 31st) we shift our concerns from being outward and relationship oriented, to focusing on our own inner processes. This in turn, effects the course of our everyday lives as we develop new methods for being in the world.

1st – Tuesday – Mars Semi-sextile Neptune, Mercury Square Pluto - We enter March with pent-up energy. We are just excited and want to get into something. Gradual progress is better than no forward movement. Believe in yourself. Know you make a difference.

2nd – Wednesday – We take action today. It is time to go forward. We may be on our own more than we like right now but that is okay.

3rd – Thursday – Mars Square Jupiter - Learning to be our best without having to compete with anyone is part of the lesson for now.

4th – Friday – Venus Conjunct Uranus, Mercury Enters Aries - And suddenly everything is different. The excitement is too much to contain. We want to rejoice because there is the feeling that this spring is bringing big changes. Focus energy before it is released to insure measurable results.

5th – Saturday – Venus Parallel Uranus, Mercury Semi-square Neptune - The excitement is strong and we are pulled in many directions. Freedom is on everyone’s mind. We can all feel something new coming to us. The same old thing is not good enough for us any more.

6th – Sunday – Sun Semi-sextile Neptune, Sun Parallel Jupiter - Allow really big things to unfold. Plant your ideals firmly in the middle of your life and be willing to promote them.

7th – Monday – Sun Quincunx Jupiter, Mars Opposite Saturn - We can see more than we can materialize. Today requires careful application of energy with a firm decision to stay within our own boundaries.

8th – Tuesday – We all breathe the same air and today we are getting a chance to share at a very primary level. Learning to work collectively without surrendering your values is the key to creating something new and healthy for all.

9th – Wednesday – Sun Contra-parallel Mercury, Mercury Semi-sextile Uranus - Bold assertion is tempered by a desire to do things right. Words come easy but they are not always connected to the most thoroughly considered plans. Think before you speak.

10th – Thursday – Mars Semi-square Uranus, The New Moon at 20 Pisces at 4:10am EST, Sun Trine Saturn - Emotions are setting the context of our daily lives; they must be recognized and dealt with in order to make sweeping changes we wish to see. Actually, incremental change is possible; we need to be satisfied with this for now. Plans put into motion now carry the aura of permanence with them.

11th– Friday – Mercury Contra-parallel Jupiter, Venus Semi-sextile Neptune, Venus Quincunx Jupiter - Don’t let wishful thinking take the place of creating a plan. Day dreaming is a method of getting the deeper urges of the soul to the surface of consciousness; give yourself space to allow your personal vision of beauty to emerge. At the same time, keep your eye on what must be completed today.

12th – Saturday – Mercury Contra-parallel Venus, Mars Semi-sextile Pluto, Mars Contra-parallel Saturn - We feel we must act now. Be sure you know what you want before you ask for it.

13th – Sunday – Many people working together makes things happen fast. Concentrate on the positive side of current events and you will be happy and successful today.

14th – Monday – Jupiter Trine Neptune, Sun Square Pluto, Venus Trine Saturn - It’s the future that holds the key to expression of personal power. Love of traditional methods and values seem to hold people’s loyalty. Work to see what is good in the past manifesting in the future.

15th – Tuesday – Venus Parallel Jupiter - Harmony and mutual gain is based on each person feeling good about what they are doing. Major contributions to big projects come in during this time.

16th – Wednesday – Listen to everyone; great ideas pop-up in the most unexpected places. You will find others capable of understanding your most complicated thoughts.

17th – Thursday – Other people can be insistent on having their own way. Innovation is tough. Connecting in productive ways means finding the underlying emotions and focusing on them.

18th – Friday – Venus Square Pluto - It’s easy to feel stuck now. Be willing to let others lead but don’t work too hard on trying to gain consensus. Others have a point of view that may not always include you.

19th – Saturday – Sun Sextile Mars, Mercury Retrograde - Change is necessary and inevitable. Be flexible and these changes are easy.

20th – Sunday – Sun Enter Aries, Mars Enters Aquarius - We complete some long standing tasks. This is the perfect time to go back to the drawing board and decide what has to happen next. Great ideas you set aside some time ago re-occur. They are more appealing now and you put them into practice.

21st – Monday – Saturn turns Direct - We feel the urge to complete things that have been in progress since last fall. Know when to be self reliant.

22nd – Tuesday – Sun Semi-square Neptune, Venus Enters Aries, Sun Contra-parallels Venus - Idealism and optimism color the day. Others are telling us things that are nice to hear and we work toward common goals.

23rd – Wednesday – Venus Semi-square Neptune - People tend to have great sensitivity around issues of self-worth today. It is possible to create harmony in all our relationships today.

24th – Thursday – Freedom and love are on everyone’s mind. We need to connect with those close to us today, but the urge to do our own thing is also strong.

25th – Friday – Venus Sextile Mars, Full Moon at 5 Libra at 3:58pm EST - The Full Moon is always a time of culmination but this one has particularly powerful impact on every significant relationship. We seek and find harmony. This is time for a romantic evening.

26th – Saturday – Pluto Turns Retrograde - This is a great time for self-examination and exploration. Meditation can be especially beneficial.

27th – Sunday – Our feelings either anchor us or we discard them. We find our past habits in conflict with our vision of the future. It’s time to chose an appropriate way of being within our own selves. Past conflicts surface only to be resolved.

28th – Monday – Sun Semi-sextile Uranus - Letting go of the past is easy, replacing it with a future is not. We are confronted with some urgent tasks and must act without, what seems like, sufficient forethought. Do your best to avoid impulsive decisions that put you into long term chaos.

29th – Tuesday – Venus Semi-sextile Uranus, Sun Conjunct Mercury, Mercury Conjunct Venus - It’s true, spring fever has finally caught on. We can start projects, “plant new seeds”, and basically take a fresh approach to life.

30th – Wednesday – Mercury Semi-sextile Uranus, Sun Conjunct Venus - Once again we are able to brighten up our way of relating to people and the environment. Put aesthetic concerns first and the rest falls into place.

31st – Thursday – Sun Contra-parallel Jupiter, Mercury Sextile Mars - Be willing to tell others what is on your mind. There is a confidence in the air; generally others are in the mood for a change.
