MARCH
2006 by Bob Mulligan
We were all in a hurry up mode trying to complete
things by the end of February. Guess what! Mercury
turns retrograde on the 2nd and stays that way until
the 25th. This is the determining footprint of the
month. Mostly we will be reviewing and editing things
that we have done before. The frantic pace of February
gives way to a much gentler pace in March. Still,
electricity is in the air and the Sun being in the
gentle sign of Pisces masks how swift the current
in the river of life really is. Unbelievably, the
ground under our feet still feels solid. This is an
illusion. Many ideas and opinions we have held are
changing. Basic assumptions evaporate as we move into
a new way of looking at the world. So much is changing,
in a gentle way; in March it is hard to see where
to concentrate our energy. Circumstances change, it
is a new world.
The
Full and New Moons this March are Eclipses. As a consequence,
we will see much more powerful demarcation points
of the energy building until the release at the time
of the Full and New Moon.
The
energy builds until the 14th when the Full Moon brings
us to a closing point at 6:35PM EST. As this is an
Eclipse, it will be important to set aside time for
yourself. Go inside and clarify what it is that you
are doing.
The
month ends with a lift on the 29th as we have our
first New Moon of spring at 5:16AM EST. This New Moon
is an Eclipse in Aries (the sign of spring).
From
the 1st to the 5th we find change happening so fast
it is hard to get our breath.
From
the 6th to the 12th the struggle between our traditional
urges and our need for adventure is powerful but easily
moderated by common sense.
From
the 13th to the 19th we look at old habits and decide
what stays and what goes. A general optimism makes
it easier to embrace new things.
From
the 20th to the 26th the thrust is definitely toward
the new but be wary of jumping to conclusions. This
is a perfect week for long term planning.
From
the 27th to the 31st, at least symbolically, we have
reached a point of transition. This will be a change
in leadership and priorities for the world as well
as each individual.
1st
Wednesday Sun Conjunct Uranus The earth moves
under our feet. We change directions every few minutes
but life is exciting and more fun than we have had
for a while.
2nd
Thursday Mercury turns Retrograde So much trouble
can be warded off by a little advanced preparation.
3rd
Friday Venus Parallel Jupiter How many ways
can we have fun today? Get organized. Turn over a
new leaf. It is time to establish some new priorities.
4th
Saturday Jupiter Retrograde, Mercury Square Pluto
We take some big steps today. Avoid compulsive thoughts
and be willing to let go of everything that isnt
serving you.
5th
Sunday Venus enters Aquarius Jump for joy. Share
good ideas with friends. You are able to accomplish
much through your affiliations.
6th
Monday People are a little more touchy than usual.
Integrate new information and get up and moving around
rather than sit and be nervous. The energy wants to
move through you.
7th
Tuesday Sun Semi-square Venus If you are emotionally
out of sorts, try integrating your need to communicate
with your need to listen.
8th
Wednesday Sun Semi-sextile Neptune We reach
for a higher ideal today. Take time to explain what
you are doing to people around you.
9th
Thursday Sun Trine Jupiter, Venus Parallel Pluto
Get direct sunlight today. The mood is great for
expanding your emotional network today.
10th
Friday Sun Sesquiquadrate Saturn Look for opportunity
and refuse to give in to depression or negative thoughts.
Stay focused on limited achievements.
11th
Saturday Venus Opposite Saturn, Mars Square Uranus,
Sun Conjunct Mercury Its wild my friends. Should
you stay or go? Our own fears make us overly cautious;
we may stop ourselves from expressing our true feelings,
then they come bursting forward. Watch out. People
are touchier than normal. Anger explodes without warning.
Be patient but keep moving.
12th
Sunday Mercury Semi-square Venus Expression
of unusual ideas can meet resistance. Take the extra
time to explain yourself. It will be rewarding.
13th
Monday Mercury Sesquiquadrate Saturn Repeating
yourself may be the way to make your point. Dont
be afraid of making a change by being persistent in
an old coveted point of view.
14th
Tuesday Venus Parallel Neptune, Mercury Trine
Jupiter, Mercury Semi-sextile Neptune, then the Full
Moon at 6:35PM EST Articulate your ideas regardless
of the immediate confusion. Keep working all day to
get your personal point of view expressed. You will
learn from the experience and you will find a deep
truth emerging from your efforts. Be prepared to meditate
at the time of the Full Moon; you will see the necessary
personal modification needing to be made.
15th
Wednesday Mercury Parallel Sun We are able to
get a balance between various factors in our life
today. This is the perfect time to increase your practice
of yoga or any middle way exercise.
16th
Thursday Jupiter Square Neptune We are riding
on an emotional bubble. Uncomfortable thoughts can
emerge and distract us from the enjoyment of the moment.
It is best to spend a little time examining our underlying
presuppositions.
17th
Friday Sun Square Pluto Welcome to the deep
emotions of the moment. Logic and reason tend to take
a back seat to the feelings. This is fine provided
you dont get extreme.
18th
Saturday Venus Semi-sextile Uranus, Venus Semi-square
Pluto Our primary relationships get a little spark
of juice. It is a great day for rekindling an old
romance. Just be careful that you dont get in too
big a hurry or say something you will regret.
19th
Sunday We connect the dots now. Many things become
clear. People are helpful and we get where we are
going by the help of others. Dont be so far down
in yourself that you dont see what is offered.
20th
Monday Sun enters Aries We enter spring cautiously.
Alliances are held together by patience and faith.
21st
Tuesday Mercury Semi-sextile Venus There is
a feeling of certainty. Finality of many uncompleted
factors comes to fruition.
22nd
Wednesday We change strategies today. This is
not so easy but it happens fast anyway.
23rd
Thursday Sun Sesquiquadrate Jupiter - We are all
stretching emotionally. Minor indiscretions can cause
big problems. Limiting our appetites can be a road
to genuine happiness.
24th
Friday Mars Quincunx Jupiter, Sun Semi-Square
Neptune Its a fun day and an exciting night. Watch
to make sure you understand the people around you.
Dancing and seeing live performances are particularly
appropriate now.
25th
Saturday Sun Trine Saturn, Venus Square Jupiter,
Mercury Turns Direct, Marts Trine Neptune Musical
and artistic expression can reach great heights now.
Religious zeal is always a mixed blessing. Inward
expression is good, outward expression of religious
feelings create problems.
26th
Sunday Venus Conjunct Neptune, Mars Semi-square
Saturn Men and women get together. Hopefully this
is a long weekend for you. It can be a great date
night.
27th
Monday This is the best time to take a risk. You
are able to pick up the thread of past accomplishments
and build on them.
28th
Tuesday The pace picks up and we are turning our
attention toward what is coming up. Planning takes
on new meaning as we put our best foot forward. Meditate
deep tonight as we are coming up to a focus point.
29th
Wednesday Pluto turns Retrograde, New Moon is
at 5:16AM This New Moon is a powerful Eclipse setting
the tone for the astrological year as we have just
entered spring. The new cant emerge unless we are
willing to let go of the past.
30th
Thursday We are running for cover as the world
is in a pattern of integration. Today is one of relief
but there is still some confusion or fogginess caused
by the Eclipse.
31st
Friday We tend to expand whatever we are doing.
Balance is easily lost. Be careful where you focus
your energy because this is likely to be your stretch
or your undoing. Love of God and the higher life bring
rewards.
