Every year March ushers in a profound energetic change as winter becomes spring. Regardless of where you are located on the globe, or the exact climate you are in, this energetic change can be felt and enjoyed. This year, this change will be felt most profoundly. This is because we have two very powerful Eclipses coming into the astrological New Year (which begins on the 20th of March); also, we have a sub-influence emphasizing Mars (masculine energy) and Venus (feminine energy) as they confront and blend with the “Gods of Change” (the outer planets). The Eclipses give the power to transform some aspect of our personal and social identity; Mars and Venus provide opportunity for clarification and rectification of our close personal relationships.

Generally, spring is a time of self expression and fall is a time of bonding. However, this year we are being prompted to redefine ourselves. We will do that through the mirror of our relationships. To change ourselves is to change our relationships; in order to change our relationships; we must change some aspect of ourselves.

On March 3rd we have a Lunar Eclipse at 6:18 PM EST. We are caught in a trap between our need for clarity and our challenge to be faithful to our higher beliefs. The blending of faith and reason requires us to confront the shadow (hidden or unconscious) side of our own habit patterns. Relinquishing fear and abusive behavior in favor of joy and understanding makes this a golden passage to a simpler way of being in life. As our relationship with ourselves alters, we experience more peace in our everyday lives. It is best to be flexible as Uranus (God of Revolution) is Conjunct the Sun and Opposing the Moon. Circumstances beyond our control take charge.

The Solar Eclipse on March 18th at 10:43PM EDT marks a time of intense longing to complete something that we have worked on for a very long time. This is a golden time to meditate on the world situation and our wish to be delivered from our extremes. By the way, this can show the tumbling of autocratic leaders as we collectively are cleaning up past unfinished business. We will be capable of achieving great things in the near future; however, right now is a time of renewing our faith in life.

Mercury turns Direct on March 7th 11:38 PM EDT signaling a return to forward motion on our many varied personal projects. Our time of personal review draws to a close and a time of action is upon us. We are building toward powerful breakthroughs which start manifesting next month. This period of reflection has given us enough critical information to correct our direction and now we will start seeing some surprising results.

Spring begins at 8:08 PM EDT on March 20th. Will we be able to take the balance and strength of this New Year’s energy and translate it into progressive planning? Short term thinking and desires for immediate return can stop us from being able to make any progress at all. Invest time, money, and energy in the things that will benefit the entire planet for a long time. Tending our own garden is not good enough now.

March 1st to the 4th is a fascinating yet frustrating time. We are called upon to re-evaluate our hopes and dreams, to let go of worn out habits, and to bless a new load of interruptions as a message from the cosmos to change directions. The luckiest people are the ones who embrace the disruptions as a signal to transform.

March 5th – 11th is the perfect time to organize your thoughts and to strive toward your ideals. There is plenty of luck and an abundance of help. Grandiose thoughts or fear driven depression are two sides of the same issue. Seek humility first then the path opens and the way is clear; not only do you receive help; you can have a lot of fun.

March 12th – 18th is a time where we have to decide to play by the rules or suffer the instability of two extremes. Balancing our own enthusiasm against other people’s fears can be paralyzing; if you are courteous, patient, and persistent, great results follow over the next few years. Things put in motion now are either gone immediately or have endurance.

From March 19th to the 25th we are pulled between fear and faith. We have real differences; we each possess unique problem solving skills giving us different approaches to life in general. The new astrological year is beginning now and we can all have an unconscious need to get on with a new adventure. However, much is lingering in the shadows from last year; if we are in too big of a hurry - dismissing past issues – we end up on a long hike to nowhere. There is no instantaneous solution to old problems; but progress is made incrementally. It is a trick to know when to take baby steps and when to take giant leaps.

Even through there is outer calm between March 26th – 31st it is possible to make some profound inner changes. If you get bossy during this week, arguments ensue. Keep striving for personal growth.

1st – Thursday – Mars Semi-square Jupiter – Rapid developments bring us opportunity to re-invest our energy in our current activity. We aren’t changing or even correcting our course of action, but we do entertain some new strategies.

2nd – Friday – Mercury Semi-square Venus – You have enthusiasm for life, it is easy to make more work for yourself than is really necessary. Be willing to change gears and just have fun.

3rd – Saturday – Sun Semi-sextile Venus, Sun Parallel Uranus, then the Full Moon Eclipse is at 6:18 PM EST – That extra thrust of energy brings results. Tie up important responsibilities so that you can place your attention on transpersonal issues. Meditate.

4th – Sunday – A certain gloominess lifts as we get moving on important things which have been long set aside. Our confidence strengthens as we prioritize, focus, and move forward.

5th – Monday – Venus Semi-sextile Uranus, Sun Conjunct Uranus – If sweeping changes are necessary then today is the time. Unique opportunities come up, if you are going to take them at all, act now. Interruptions may be giving you unique opportunities or critical information.

6th – Tuesday – Sun Contra-parallel Venus – Emotions are strong but not always organized or focused. Be aware of commitments. It is easy to promise things that will be hard to fulfill.

7th – Wednesday – Venus Contra-parallel Uranus, Mercury turns Direct – Developments in our personal lives can slow our professional activity. New ideas are abundant but it takes work to separate the practical from the fanciful.

8th – Thursday – Venus Trine Jupiter – It is perfect timing for taking some giant steps forward. It is a lucky day. The general atmosphere is exceedingly upbeat. Let your needs and desires transform as conditions change.

9th – Friday – Venus Trine Saturn, Sun Square Jupiter, Venus Sextile Neptune – Conflicting signals can get us confused. The straight and narrow brings results. Be careful that you don’t suffer because you over reach. Limit your exposure to the things on which you can get closure. Artistic sentiment frees our creative juices.

10th – Saturday – Sun Quincunx Saturn – Confusion over responsibilities can split your energy between too many projects. Be honest with yourself and maintain good boundaries with your colleagues.

11th – Sunday – Sun Semi-sextile Neptune – A big push to manifest an ideal can leave us exhausted. Measure your energy and look for a chance to run a new idea past your close friends. An adventure may be on the horizon.

12th – Monday – We look for ways to settle into a routine. Extremes leave us exhausted and what we need is to feel stable. Established procedures create a path to normalcy.

13th – Tuesday – An inner prompting to manifest a new idea can get stuck on the drawing board. This is not a bad thing since the time to explore something new is still a ways away.

14th – Wednesday – We eventually figure out that today will take care of itself. Deal with what comes to you and be at peace.

15th – Thursday – Anger can be irrational. See if the extra energy present now can’t be channeled into something constructive. To hurt another is to hurt yourself.

16th – Friday – Mars Semi-sextile Pluto, Jupiter Trine Saturn, Mercury Sextile Pluto, Venus Trine Pluto, Mercury Sextile Venus – Frustration can build with the current circumstances. This is not the harvest cycle but so much opportunity is present we can easily be impatient. Work diligently to deal with your own prejudices and preconceptions. Fanatically held beliefs must eventually give way to live out an eternal truth.

17th – Saturday – Venus enters Taurus – A peaceful sense of the world can bring joy. Inner reflection on our higher goals can give relief from the external confusion. New ideas are emerging and a time of satisfaction is close.

18th – Sunday – Venus Semi-square Uranus, Mars Semi-sextile Uranus, Mercury enters Pisces, Mercury Contra-parallel Venus, the New Moon at 10:43 PM EDT – Many things that seemed settled in our key relationships are suddenly up for question. This is a prime opportunity to change focus or switch our approach to each other. It is a great day to find a new love or to find a new method for relating to our familiar associates. Focus on the energy of the New Moon; we are being offered an opportunity to correct past errors.

19th – Monday – Sun Square Pluto – It is easy to fall into the trap of struggling with others over ideals. If you are capable of inner quiet you will see the conflict as if between two aspects of yourself. Resolution is possible.

20th – Tuesday – Sun enters Aries (the first day of Spring) – Our focus shifts to outer world accomplishment and we desire a new expression of personal power. We are all struck with a need for investing our energy into our own community.

21st – Wednesday – Venus Sesquiquadrate Jupiter, Mars Parallel Pluto, Mars Contra-parallel Saturn – Much progress can be made quickly as it is possible to see the way to manifest your current dream. Timing is everything and we are able to recruit others people’s assistance if only for a moment. Getting the right rhythm with others is necessary now.

22nd – Thursday – Mars Opposite Saturn – Physical tension can build up if you feel that you are confronting unbendable circumstances or intolerable authority. Even if nothing gets accomplished it is better than climbing the wrong mountain. Not every battle has to be fought; relax.

23rd – Friday – Mars Sextile Jupiter – We are in a free wheeling and competitive mood. Our ability to have a good time is amplified and many friends engage us in activities. Concentrate on the group energy and you will have more fun.

24th – Saturday – Saturn Contra-parallel Pluto, Sun Sesquiquadrate Saturn, Venus Contra-parallel Neptune – Our creative impulses are flowing but our practical needs can’t be overlooked. Good practice today requires that we be punctual, patient, and willing to learn.

25th – Sunday – Mars Conjunct Neptune – Being devoted to a higher ideal may give us a prescription for our own actions; we need to follow this calling of higher consciousness. However, although we may lead by example, don’t tell others what to do.

26th – Monday – Venus Contra-parallel Mars, Sun Semi-square Neptune – Going after something new requires effort. We may struggle to get our energy in motion. Inertia may be our friend; examine your impulses before you act.

27th – Tuesday – It is a time to focus on the most glorious aspects of what life offers us. Our creative impulses free us from stagnation. Be willing to examine values that are in conflict, then resolution and stability are achievable.

28th – Wednesday – Venus Contra-parallel Pluto, Venus Parallel Saturn – Be willing to sacrifice something now or you will suffer. If you choose correctly, an old habit leaves you for good.

29th – Thursday – Venus Sesquiquadrate Pluto, Mars Parallel Neptune – Higher forces and circumstances intervene to alter aspects of our emotional expression. Be willing to align your life with your higher purpose so that you can experience true peace. Fighting the inevitable is to invite unwanted disruption and unnecessary suffering. Joy comes through continuous giving of your self to others.

30th – Friday – Don’t get lost in detail but do observe carefully what critical ingredients need your attention. Clarification comes through listening and sharing.

31st – Saturday – Venus Sextile Uranus, Pluto turns Retrograde, Sun Semi-square Mars – Control your emotions and be willing to compromise on deeply held beliefs and you will find that magical middle way. What you think you want can change now.
