MARS CLOSE TO THE EARTH AND RETROGRADE

On August 27th 2003 Mars will be closer to the earth than it has been in 55,000 years and retrograde. The red planets will, at this time be, five times brighter than normal, even brighter than Jupiter. It will be quite striking visually from Sun set to Sunrise for many days before and after this even.
Astrologically, Mars is retrograde in Pisces (sign of spiritual insight) and opposite the Sun at the time of its perigee, showing that we have an opportunity to find a higher unity in life's apparent contradiction. This event occurs at the time of the New Moon in Virgo, so hopefully we will be ready to move in a new direction. There are five planets in Virgo all opposing Mars and Uranus in Pisces. This can be signaling a violent or very abrupt change of circumstances in the world.
Mars is retrograde from July 27th to September 27th. This is a period of time for focusing our energies inward and attempting to make some basic psychological and emotional changes.
