NOVEMBER
2001 by Bob Mulligan
We are in a
transformative cycle. It started in August and ends next May. Although
this one is particular devastating in loss of human life, we experienced
this same cycle twice last century. We had this in 65-66 during
the Vietnam war, and during 31-33 at the beginning of the Great
Depression. Universally, we go through a change in our course of
action when Saturn (restriction) opposes Pluto (extremes). After
these changes, the world is never the same. This the transformation
in the 30s was our security and social stratification. In the 60s
it was our ideals and methods of working. Now we are transforming
our values and ethics. Saturn is in Gemini (sign of the mind) opposing
Pluto in Sagittarius (sign of ethics and religion). This aspect
was exact in August, this month November, and finally next May.
This is always a time of constriction, conflict, and transformation.
This happens every 35 years. This time we had the terrorist attaches
which inaugurated this change. Life on the planet will be different
now. This backdrop colors the world atmosphere through fall, winter,
and spring. November, like September and October, remains a sober
month.
November begins
with a FULL MOON at 12:42am on the morning of the 1st. Mercury and
Venus trine Uranus making this a great day for communicating. Connecting
and helping people is a great way to use today's energy. New ideas
and method can prompt us to carry the work to the next level. On
the 2nd Saturn and Pluto make an exact opposition. Jupiter turns
retrograde. This is a preparatory day. We are focusing more inwardly
now. This is a harvest cycle as we reap the rewards of past efforts.
The 3rd we have Mercury and Venus conjunct again giving optimism
to any peaceful gestures sent on this day. There is finality and
closure now. Late night on the 4th Mars and Neptune conjunct giving
us artistic inspiration and response to life. Some of the pressure
that we have been under releases and we are more at peace.
The 5th indicates
hard work and extra effort as both Mars and the Sun are in aspect
to Saturn.
We may be plagued
by indecision as Mercury is in aspect to both Saturn and Pluto on
the 6th.
Venus aspects
Saturn and Pluto on the 7th giving us a rather emotionally limiting
day. Correctly used though we can establish some meaningful boundaries.
Try to avoid hurting anyone's feelings. Try to be less sensitive
to things other people say. Mercury moves into Scorpio. Our thought
process tends to focus on more profound subjects now. Still, this
can be a profitable time to take measured risks as the Sun trines
Jupiter. Success is very possible if our goals are familiar and
well defined.
On the 8th The
Sun square The Moon and Venus crosses into Scorpio. Deep emotional
impulses can work to our disadvantage if we act without others.
Make sure that you understand others and that they are hearing you.
Future possibilities collide with unresolved issues from the past
on the 11th as Mercury (messages) Squares Neptune (confusion). We
can easily find ourselves on the darker edge of things as our past
methods don't really seem appropriate to carry us in the direction
we feel we want to go. Suspicion of others and bad deals can color
our way of working. However, as Mercury Parallels Pluto on the 12th,
a new solution is present. It is possible to solve problems now
by just reconstituting them.
On the 13th
the Sun square Uranus and Venus square Neptune. It is possible to
accomplish a lot now, We may feel like taking a whole new approach
to life. However, its best to be safe rather than push for unachievable
goals. We on the last days of the old moon and our time is best
spend in meditation, ground clearing, and preparing to start anew.
The 14th offers
us an opportunity for emotional release. This can be a time of rest
and relief from our current situation. This is a good foundation
for our NEW MOON in Scorpio which occurs on the 15th at 1:41am EST.
We are able to put the past behind us and work on building something
new for the future. Health concerns can be an issue now but inspiration
and realignment are strong.
On the 16th
Mercury squares Mars and parallels Uranus. Avoid argument but stay
engaged in discourse. Your powers of reasoning can surface new solutions
to perennial difficulties. Good, useful ideas emerge quite naturally.
This can be tricky. Its possible to change directions, but bring
others along with you if at all possible because they are changing
directions too. We are prompted to reveal our own emotional truths
on the 17th as Mercury Trines Jupiter. Our empathy for others expands
as we exchange more information.
Energy builds.
Others seem to Sparkle with excitement on the 20th. This can be
a lucky day particularly in the emotional arena. Don't be in a hurry.
Others may seem to be pushy or argumentative, especially in matters
of love and romance. Avoid stubborn confrontations. This energy
is with us for a few days yet. Patience and strength fosters understanding.
We feel a shift
to lighter subjects and concerns as the Sun enters Sagittarius on
the 22nd. A feeling of optimism can give us all a lift. There is
some conflicts as we are inclined to both spend time with family
and familiar people as well as answer the call of adventure. This
can be a time for digging into and resolving romantic conflicts.
On the 22nd and 23rd as we have Mars (masculine energy) and Venus
(Feminine energy) square and parallel each other.
On 25th Venus
(love) square Uranus (revolution). Abrupt changes in our affections
or ways of finding pleasure can set us on a roll-a-coaster that
lasts till the end of the month. This theme continues on the 26th
as Mercury (Planet of reasoning) makes an aspect to Jupiter (our
higher wisdom) then enters Sagittarius (sign of ethics). Our enthusiasm
for life gets a boost and our energy continues to transform as Mars
conjuncts Uranus. Do something different. It's a great time to get
new electronics equipment or engage in some brand new adventure,
even if comprehensive planning eludes us. This is a fascinating
time as we are all somehow connected to larger events.
On the 29th
compromise and self-analysis help us raise the level of relationships.
This is important as we have another FULL MOON at 3:50pm EST on
the 30th which is the last day of the month. This can put us in
a real reaching out mood. Actually our extroverted time must be
balanced with our concerns for our inner life now. Activity culminates.
Once again we have an opportunity to put aside our own desires and
to work for the common good.
