Mars, who has been in Taurus since the 28th of July, turns retrograde. Mars is the God of war, but also, energy, desire. He powers everything into action. Taurus is like mud for the God of action. This is an explanation as to why so many things have taken so long to get done during the last few months. On October 1st, Mars turns retrograde, and remains so until the 9th of December. Mars in Taurus conveys stability. Trying to do anything while Mars is in Taurus is like trying to swim the length of a swimming pool filled with molasses. Mars turning retrograde in Taurus is like being handed a suitcase full of bricks to carry with you while you are swimming. The best way of going through October is to let go of everything material that you can. Make the journey ahead easier.

The time interval of the month comes from the journey of the Moon around the Earth. Every calendar month has a New and a Full Moon. Every year we have at least one Eclipse which happens at the time of the New or Full Moon. This Month has an Eclipse at both New Moon (October 3rd) and Full Moon (October 17th). An Eclipse is a New or Full Moon on steroids. The energy is a hundred times stronger. This is a time of powerful meditation and the ability to introduce something new (New Moon); or a time for manifestation (Full Moon). This moon’s lunar rhythm forces us to navigate our pattern of relationships. September and October are always a time for working together, but this year we are pressured to find what isn’t working and to do something new.

Several deals put in place last month will start showing signs of value near the end of October.

From the 1st to the 3rd, we are clearing ground and preparing to start in a new direction. The New Moon Eclipses at 10 Libra, at 6:28am EDT, totally dominating these days.

From the 3rd to the 10th we are in an accommodating, optimistic, and balanced mood. Seize the moment and create harmony wherever possible.

From the 10th to the 17th we are working to achieve emotional support for our various ideas. New information and assistance comes. Be open to seeing the less than obvious. The Full Moon Eclipse at 8:14AM EDT, on the 17th marks a moment of real self-confidence. Share the goodness of your own life with everyone you can.

From the 17th until the 24th, we are sharing with others the fruits of our recent past. As the Sun goes into Scorpio on the 23rd, the velocity of our assertions increases.

From the 24th to the 31st we are changing our direction several times as new opportunity opens around us. We have a propensity to look and plan a long way down the road.

1st - Saturday – Sun Sesquiquadrate Mars, Mars Contra-parallel Neptune, Mars turns Retrograde, Sun Sextile Saturn, Venus opposite Mars – We are at a defining moment, prepare to do things differently for a while. Making progress with anything will require switching gears. Frustration emerges when you try to do anything faster than circumstances allow. Discipline, consistent effort, and patience are the ingredients of moving forward.

2nd – Sunday –Listen to others and be at peace. All cooperation comes from working behind the scenes to get potential difficulties resolved before they occur.

3rd – Monday – New Moon Eclipses at 10 Libra, at 6:28am EDT, Mercury Sextile Pluto, Venus Semi-sextile Jupiter, Mercury Parallel Jupiter, Mercury Sesquiquadrate Uranus – It is possible to move forward today, only very slowly. This is a ground-clearing time, prepare to meditate, think, plan, and communicate your ideals to everyone in your life.

4th – Tuesday – Mercury Quincunx Mars, then Parallel Uranus – We will either work effectively with others now, or be locked into endless debate.

5th – Wednesday – Mercury Conjunct Jupiter – A ruthless energy drives people toward a conclusion. Be willing to think in big terms and look for lasting and meaningful solutions that go beyond the passing marks. Ask for what you really want and be willing to wait, even if it takes years.

6th – Thursday – Sun Semi-square Venus – The intensity of feelings can drive you unmercifully toward a conclusion. Now may not be the best to be resolving long standing conflicts. It is possible to get very beautiful things to happen but recognize the feelings are in conflict with these basic principles. We love to ask for more than we really need, but this isn’t the way to happiness.

7th – Friday – Venus enters Sagittarius, Sun Trines Neptune – The far away captures the imagination. We move into a world of looking for real joy. Be careful to take your real concerns to a higher level rather than falling into denial about their existence. Have fun by taking time off to relax with friends.

8th – Saturday – Mercury enters Scorpio – Our intense feelings can pick up justification today. We probe deep and have the opportunity to look behind the scenes at the underlying causes of all current difficulties. Communications can become too convoluted if we are aiming at true clarity.

9th – Sunday – Having a routine Sunday may be the furthest thing from your mind. Try accomplishing a few tasks at hand, and then leave the rest until tomorrow.

10th – Monday – Mercury Semi-sextile Venus – Financial concerns may be foremost on everyone’s mind. Relax, progress will be slow going for a while but some plan will greatly help ease the feeling of urgency. Limit the number of things you try to accomplish today. Focus and discipline carry you forward.

11th – Tuesday – Real detachment can be illusive and we are always capable of falling into indifference and avoidance. Genuine listening to others and honest self evaluation are the methods for moving forward.

12th – Wednesday – Realizing our dreams means committing to a plan of action. A dreaming, idealistic aura surrounds the events today. Be unafraid and know what is real and what is an illusion.

13th – Thursday – Mercury Semi-Square Pluto, then Trines Uranus, Mars Quincunx Pluto – Clever gyrations and mental adjustments can get us into and out of the most peculiar situations. Stubborn, dogmatic attitudes and expressions can put us in very uncomfortable positions now. Be willing to alter fundamental perceptions of world circumstances and you will be more affective.

14th – Friday – Jupiter Parallel Uranus, Mercury Parallel Pluto, Mercury Parallel Pluto, Venus Square Uranus – We get so much help today. Be willing and open to accepting assistance from unusual sources.

15th – Saturday – Sun Quincunx Mars, Mercury Square Saturn, Sun Sesquiquadrate Uranus, Sun Sextile Pluto, Mercury Parallel Neptune – Finding our footing today can be difficult. Have faith in God, today gets better as it unfolds and self-assertion is meaningless unless you are working alone. Partnering with coworkers will take real finesse.

16th – Sunday – Mercury Contra-parallel Mars – It you feel that you have been making some mistakes but couldn’t isolate them, listen to others now, they will be happy to point out what you could do differently. Avoid arguments as feelings easily escalate.

17th – Monday – Full Moon Eclipse at 8:14AM EDT, Sun Parallel Uranus – “Business as usual” is an impossibility. We are moved into a new environment by our ideals and our associates. We are trying to complete tasks and we are being prompted in new directions at the same time. Closure comes by allocating time for meditation, important people, and prioritizing.

18th – Tuesday – Mercury Square Neptune, Sun Parallel Jupiter, Mercury Contra-parallel Saturn – We want to naturally do everything in a big way now. We come to the conclusion that everything has to fit a world of change. Be willing to re-assess your beliefs in the light of real limitations that confront your big picture of life. Confidence and enthusiasm can carry you forward, just be willing to face the real limitations of time and energy.

19th – Wednesday – Old emotional tapes can play in the background of everyday endeavors. Be at peace and let the world come to you now.

20th – Thursday – Venus Semi-square Jupiter – Really listen to others and follow their lead. Luck is present, you do need to know how to access it and you can’t do it by yourself.

21st – Friday – Venus Sextile Neptune – A great day for enjoying a live performance, creating a work of art, or just having a romantic and exciting evening.

22nd – Saturday – Mars Contra-parallel Neptune, Sun Conjunct Jupiter, Mercury Opposite Mars – Same old difficulties can stand in the way of a big breakthrough with friends, lovers, and coworkers. The answer to moving forward is to be generous and really kind to those that have pledged you in the past, what the heck, try something different.

23rd – Sunday – Sun enter Scorpio – Circumstances change. We get serious about eliminating obstacles. Spend today planning and mobilizing.

24th – Monday – Mercury Semi-sextile Pluto – Old attitudes change if we spend the time to explain ourselves. You can accomplish much with little effort if you narrow your focus.

25th – Tuesday – Venus Quincunx Mars, Jupiter enters Scorpio – Be willing to deal with people in a hard to reach place. Attitudes and perspectives are fairly locked into place for a while. Your job is to recognize this and to make adequate adjustments.

26th – Wednesday – Neptune Stationary Direct – Our ideals get a jolt and we remember why we believe the things we do.

27th – Thursday – Focus on details and practical results. Tension comes if we take interruptions as an annoyance rather than as an opportunity to do something different. It is a subtle balance to be able to accept change without losing sight of important objectives.

28th – Friday – Venus Conjunct Pluto – Harmony can be found if you look for common ground. Be willing to receive abundance in a new way today.

29th – Saturday – Move beyond your own projects and recognize how you can help others. This is the method for improving your own life now.

30th – Sunday – Sun Trine Uranus, Mercury enters Sagittarius, Sun Semi-squares Pluto – You are going to find trouble if you are uncertain about your key commitments. Think through what you have to accomplish in the next period and reach for the stars but keep your feet on the ground.

31st – Monday – Mercury Semi-sextile Jupiter – Success comes through the equation of thought plus belief equals your path of action. All the effort in the world will not help you if you are going in the wrong direction. Make sure that your ends and means make sense. This is a consummate planning time.
