SEPTEMBER

Just before
the start of September Venus contra-parallels Mars. This gives us
one of the key symbols of the month showing that issues between
men and women will be in our thinking now. Another recurring backdrop
is a feeling that we have something more coming from life. Relationships
and entitlement are never far from our consciousness. These themes
recur all month.
September starts
on an easy going note this year. The Moon is in Gemini, the sign
of communication. She makes a trine to Venus in Libra and then conjuncts
Saturn. It is a great day for communicating and handling misunderstandings.
We are winding down and winding things up until the 7th which is
the time of the New Moon, the symbol of beginning again.
However, this
first week (1st through the 6th) does have some punch in it. There
is a real spirit of passionate and exuberant intensity. On the 2nd
Mercury Sextiles Jupiter indicates we tend toward big plans, we
possess more self-confidence, and we have a wider perspective on
pressing issues. We may change our outlook today. Another indication
of release of joy is shown on the 3rd by Venus (from her own sign
of Libra) paralleling Pluto (Lord of extremes) and trining Uranus
(God of the sky).
Wednesday the
4th Venus parallel's Uranus to complete this energizing of our higher
feelings. Also, the Moon is conjuncting Jupiter indicating that
plans materialize quickly. Many things that we have worked on in
the past pick up pace today as Mercury trines Neptune. Even if we
are focused on fantastic faraway goals, we make mental progress
today by keeping our minds focused on higher ideas.
On Thursday
the 5th, Venus trines Saturn and the Sun contra-parallels Mercury.
It's a good day to take stock of where we are going and where we
have been. Today favors completion and working on things that have
on going significance.
Friday the 6th
we have the New Moon at 14Virgo20 at 11:11pm EDT. The day unfolds
slowly. Keeping ourselves locked into to the tried and true is usually
our best strategy. Meditation at the time of the New Moon is always
beneficial.
On Saturday
the 7th the Sun squares Pluto, Venus semi-squares Pluto, then Venus
into Scorpio. This is an intense and passionate day. Pluto (Planet
of compulsion) rules Scorpio so we may experience some emotional
extremes today.
Try not to be
too critical of yourself or others. We travel through the weekend
and enter the next week very keyed up. Be very careful as to where
you are putting your energy. The intensity of the moment is boosted
on Tuesday the 10th as the Moon conjuncts Venus in Scorpio. Either
our higher instincts are in control or all holy heck breaks loose.
Of course, September
11th will always have great symbolic value. However, with Jupiter
opposite Neptune now it is very easy to carry anything toward excess.
We do best if we focus on eliminating everything that we don't need
today.
On Thursday
the 12th Mars aspects Neptune and Jupiter. We may feel that we are
left out. It is a vague feeling that the rest of the world is having
a party and we somehow are not included.
On the 14th
- Saturday - Mercury which is transiting through Libra (sign of
balance) stands still. It's stationary turning retrograde, which
it will remain until October 6th. Retrograde Mercury in Libra is
the perfect time to re-negotiate old contracts, revise paper and
projects, and edit previously written material.
Monday the 16th
Venus parallels Neptune and contra-parallels Jupiter. This energy
can make for a very sweet day. However, underlying commitments and
fixed opinions can prevent this from being the big boost we would
like it to be. Be flexible. It helps.
On the 19th
- Thursday - Venus squares Neptune. Be careful to not overextend
yourself today. Also, if you find yourself choosing things that
you would not ordinarily select, it is better to postpone final
decision making for a couple of days.
Friday the 20th
Jupiter completes his contra-parallel Neptune. These two forces
are now completing their opposition from 11 days ago. We attempt
to make the optimism of the last two weeks come to something practical.
If our goals have been obtainable, this can be a time of manifestation.
If we are off looking for something that requires no effort, chances
are we will be disappointed.
This month's
Full Moon takes place between 28 degrees of Virgo and Pisces, at
10am CDT. Meditate. Now is a time of culmination, of peaceful resolution.
On the 22nd
Mars square Pluto. There is always the potential for violence. Lets
do our part to quell our tempers and stay focused on long range
goals. We reach the autumnal equinox as the Sun enters Libra on
the 23rd. We are in the balance as we once again experience equal
hours of daylight and darkness. Today Mercury trines Neptune showing
that our higher consciousness guides us when we let it.
On the 24th
Venus squares Jupiter, then Mercury contra-parallels Mars. This
is a perfect day for dealing with what lands in your "in box". Deal
with what turns up. Wait until you must act, then do what you must
with finesse and definition.
Friday the 27th
the Sun conjuncts a retrograde Mercury. It's the beginning of a
new mental cycle. Ideas put in motion now are part of a long process
that will come to fruition in the distant future.
We reach the
end of September on Monday the 30th. It's a perfect time to take
care of business with long established partners. Romance is in the
air but your efforts are best used to do things which simplify your
life.
